Is chicken hormone-treated?

Hormones are naturally produced in your body, as well as in animals bodies.

These natural hormones are pretty much chemicals that are slowly produced and control growth, development and reproduction functions. Hormones can also be steroids or proteins, animals are usually treated with steroid hormones. Why??? These hormones can cause animals to gain weight faster, therefore meat industries make a higher profit… The faster the chickens grow, the more product they have to sell.

The video at the end of this post shows how chickens are raised and treated in a chicken farm, the conditions these animals live in are dirty and overcrowded. They pretty much live in crap, which is a great environment for salmonella and e coli. The hormones they have been treated with have caused top heavy chickens that can hardly carry all that weight on their legs. So why is our chicken hormone-treated? Perhaps our food industry cares more about quantity over quality? Maybe that’s why fruits and veggies are sold by the pound and sometimes expensive, as compared to fast food restaurants which offer a wide selection of everyday dollar deals…

“Say hello to mechanically separated chicken.” *

Gross… Would you guess the final product to be crispy golden nuggets eaten by many??

“..because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color. But, hey, at least it tastes good, right? High five, America!”*
