5 Fall outfits for your wardrobe this season

Trade the shorts for leggings, use sweaters and scarves to layer tanks, and replace the flip flops with boots! With Fall here and colder weather soon to follow, a change in your wardrobe should be made from your recent summer attire.

Below are five outfits, with very versatile pieces which you might already own. Which outfit do you like the most or see yourself wearing? Share your thoughts in the comment section ūüôā

This outfit is nice for work or for going out on the weekend. The jeans keep it comfortable and casual, and the chain necklace and blazer add a touch of glamour. Owning a pair of camel colored boots is a great idea, since they are a nice alternative to heels and match with anything.

The sweater dress is a Fall fashion staple. The burgundy boots and camel tote are the perfect accessories to complete the look. If weather is cold, wear leggings and layer on a lightweight sweater or a pea coat.

This look is pure comfort. A nice option for running¬†errands¬†or a relaxed day at home. Don’t you just love the metallic and red glitter Tom’s?!

You can still wear that maxi dress you loved in summertime around Fall, simply layer with a sweater and opt for a wedge heel. The gold accessories and black leather tote dress up the look.

I saw those Rock & Republic heels at Kohlsthe other day, and fell in LOVE with them. I will definitely be going back to purchase them asap, since they are currently on sale @ $49.99. You can use the code UBLOGTEN now through October 24th and stack your savings with one other department specific code as well.

This final look is nice for dressy events or dinners. The blue necklace compliments the orange top so well, and choosing a pencil skirt over pants always fancies up the look. If you’d rather do a dress, choose one in a burgundy shade with a cut similar to the one above; it is designed to enhance and flatter your figure.

My favorite thing about Fall fashion is the tall boots, vibrant shades, and cute coats. My favorite outfit is the last one because it is very simple yet classy, and screams Fall- the fact I feel in love with the heels also helped a lot! Do you prefer summertime fashion or are you excited about transitioning into Fall?!

Ombre lips tutorial

Ombre lips are a hot makeup trend in which a few shades are used to achieve a blended look with a color fading into a softer/darker shade.

One of my favorite ombre lips makeup artist is Loreleicakes, check out her instagram by clicking her name she has many pictures of different ombre lip looks and great makeup tips. This lip trend is pretty and wearable, just don’t try a blue look for the office:).

I like ombre lips in coral and pinks/reds the best. They are a nice look to try when you want to play up your lips. If you want to try this look during the day, just put on some blush, and a bit of eye liner and mascara. Keep it simple and let your lips take center stage.

Check out a quick tutorial below if you want to do ombre lips on yourself. You can test it out and use different colors to achieve your own personal look!

Top 10 hairstyles for short hair

If you are looking for a style to flatter your short hair, or looking to cut your hair and go shorter you have come to the right place! Whteher you are looking for a chic bob, fun pixie, or a simple and classic layered cut, there are many options when it comes to short hair.

Transitioning from long to short…

I am sure most of you have seen the tweets and all the stirrup over Miley’s new do. New very very short do. I would never go that short, simply due to the fact i have a round face and don’t think this style would be flattering. Regardless, i think Miley looks great with long or short hair. Some women just have¬†features¬†on their face which can look great framed by short locks.

Check out a few more cute hairstyles for short hair. How do you prefer you hair: long or short?  Which short style is you favorite?!

Pink’s makeup matches this rocker chic cut perfectly! This style is nice if you aren’t afraid to go very short. Short hairstyles like this one allow you to play with texture and will put earrings and necklaces on display!

Paparazzi went wild when Katie Holmes debuted her short blunt bob with bangs. This is a very cute look. It will look best if your hair is straight or easy to manage and style in the mornings. This cut will also look nice with curled /wavy hair.

Rhianna has currently been sporting short styles. I like this one, because it shows off her neck and shoulders but keeps a feminine feel with the curls.

Alyssa Milano went for a really short and playful pixie here. If you have a long neck, this is a nice way to show it off.

Sandra Bullock looks very elegant in this chic bob. It just sweeps on her shoulders, so the option to pull it back is still available. Some texture was also added to her ends to avoid a blunt look. If you like this cut but want to change it up a bit just ask for some layers.

Mary J Blige is the queen of short hairstyles. This asymmetrical style is fun and the color in her hair looks great paired with the cut. This is a nice way to keep some length on one side, and see what going really short looks like on the other side.

Katy Perry loves vintage inspired fashion, and this cut is perfectly vintage. This is a nice look if you are looking to cut your hair short but still want some length. She has the ends curled, so straight it is a bit  longer.

Anne Hathaway chopped off her long locks for a role in “Les Miserables”. It was reported via peoplestylewatch¬†that she cried and was “inconsolable” after her cut. I would be too:( But Anne pulls off this look very well. She has perfect facial features to rock this look, and softens it up with the retro fashion.

Keira Knightley sports a very short pixie cut above. This short do is cute because it involves lots of texture and is a piecy look. Looks well tousled and  is can be easily styled at home. Always ask your stylist to teach you how to style your cut before you leave the salon!

Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham wore an a-line cut. This style is fun and frames high cheekbones well. It’s a very stylish and playful cut, but does require upkeep to maintain shape.

5 peplum dresses you must own

Peplum dresses are one of my favorite trends. You can easily spot a peplum dress or top per the ruffled or pleated strip of fabric attached around the waistline.  This makes for a pretty dress that accentuates and cinches your waist.

These dresses can be found in many colors, prints, and fabrics; which makes it easy for you to find one ( or three!) you’ll love. This list includes five peplum dresses which make a great addition into any wardrobe. You’ll look perfectly pretty in peplum for every¬†occasion!

A few peplum dresses with pretty¬†accessories¬†and shoes to match…

This pink peplum is a perfect birthday girl outfit! The nude heels and gold and pink accessories add glamour to an already sassy dress.

What’s better than a little black dress??? A little black peplum dress!!! A classic staple with sophisticated accessories. This is the perfect special occassion dress to own, keep it classy with a simple black pump and add some color with jewelry and a cute clutch.

This bright peplum dress needs to make it’s way into¬†the work attire section in your closet ASAP! Pair it with a neutral blazer, heel, and purse to make a bright piece that’s also work-friendly.

An everyday peplum dress! Simply perfect to lounge in, or for a BBQ. The printed fabric adds a sweet and stylish touch. Pair it with flirty jeweled sandals, and sexy cat-eye framed shades.

I don’t know what I like more about this dress; the pretty heart cut-out on the back, or the silky blue hue. Either way, it’s got to be one of the cutest peplums I’ve seen! The heels and accessories I paired in this outfit complete the look for a rocker chic feel.

I am in love with peplums ( as I already mentioned!) Everything about them makes it a perfect dress in my opinion; the shape and silhoutte it helps create, the cut, the colors, the versatility, and the fact it exudes femininity.

Printed denim fashion

I’m sure most of you have already seen printed denim either on celebrities or at stores. Is this a trend you love, or absolutely despise?!

Printed denim comes in a variety of colors, prints and cuts. If you like floral or animal print, now you can show it off on jeans or shorts. There are also funky patterns, which make this a bold and bright denim trend.

Some of these prints are very cute and add fun to any outfit, but a few prints seem to remind me of over the top curtains or a couch. Since the print is so busy, I’d prefer wearing printed jeans with a neutral top. More like the image below.

I actually love this whole outfit! It’s very neutral, but the floral denim adds a pop of color and definitely looks Spring ready. From the pumps to the shades, and every other aspect of this outfit works in perfect harmony. This picture makes me want to go out and buy myself a pair of floral-print denim, that’s how good it looks!

Here are a few other printed jeans for your viewing pleasure!

Spring fashion: fun and flirty!

With Spring almost here, it’s time to transition from warm coats and tall boots to bright tops, floral patterns and flirty sandals!

When it comes to fashion, you can never go wrong with neutral shades and classic styles; but adding color (whether bold and solid ¬†or fun patterns) is a great way to play with style and create quite unique looks. Spring fashion invokes images of pretty pastels, bold and solid pieces, futuristic metallics, ¬† sexy stripes, florals, and fun patterns. Mix those with a neutral piece and you got yourself an outfit that’s ready for spring, and a great option if you’d prefer a less flashy look. Check out a few of my favorite Spring-inspired outfits below!

floral ruffle skirt available @ Kohls

Floral skirt and red owl:

This outfit welcomes Spring with a beautiful floral skirt, pops of color, and a big and bright accessory. I love owls and this necklace is perfect to offset a plain and neutral top. Switch the red flats for a pair of sparkling gold wedges!

A touch of teal:

Teal is a very pretty color, and perfect for Spring! Teal jeans work well whether you want to pair them with a tee and tennis shoes for a casual look, or dress them up with a black blouse and funky wedges. The yellow necklace is a nice way to brighten up a casual outfit and contrast the teal pants.

Black and yellow:

Black shorts are the perfecct addition for your wardrobe this Spring, since you can match them with colorful tops very easily. They are also versatile as they can be dressed up or kept casual. The yellow off-the-shoulder top looks great when paired with fun turquoise jewelry, and the gold sandals keep this look from looking too dressy.

Blue or lavender?!

The pale pink skirt is a great neutral to match with a bright or pastel top. I love the contrast of the pink and blue mixed with the metallic silver flats.

Spring is a great reminder that warm and sunny days are almost here! Time to shed those layers and spring into a fun and cool outfit. Apart from pastels, and bright shades, i also love floral prints, especially in dresses and blouses. What’s your favorite fashion trend for Spring?!
