If you are not a fan of dressing up for Halloween, but still want to do something to celebrate; go the DIY route and use your creativity with makeup. Below are five beauty products you will need to create spooky, glamorous, gory, and enchanting makeup looks, perfect for Halloween 🎃

  • Eyeshadow palette

      An eyeshadow palette will come in handy to create many looks, be sure to choose one with many colors. It also helps to know what look you want to create before purchasing a palette to ensure you have all the colors needed.

      • False lashes

        Add some drama to your look with long and thick lashes. They are available in all shapes, lengths, colors and sone even have glitter or fun fabrics attached.

        • Liquid liner

          Eyeliner will come in handy for drawing precise lines on your face to create your Halloween look. Choose a liquid one, with a thin tip to ensure you are able to draw delicate lines when needed.

          • Lipstick

            Compliment your Halloween look with a fun lipstick shade! There’s a variety of colors available from a black lip (good for a witch or skull), to blues ranging from teal to navy (mermaid look anyone?!)

            • Temporary haircolor

            If you have been wanting to try a bright color in your hair, but have been scared to try; Halloween is the perfect excuse to do it! A temporary haircolor spray is convenient and usually washes out after a few shampoos. If you have bleached or light hair, you can use temporary color like Manic Panic for color that will last a bit longer. Or you can also just purchase glitter spray to add some sparkle to your look.

            Time to find the perfect Halloween costume yet again! If you are looking for a scary and gory look, check out the options below.

            1. Carrie– this classic horror film has a pretty creepy leading lady, and the costume itself can be very inexpensive to do it yourself. All you really need, is a prom dress, heels, a tiara, and as long as you don’t mind being covered in blood, you’ll be good to go. Here’s how to achieve this costume.

            2. Nurse from Silent Hill– this costume will definitely scare a few since that whole no visible face look is pretty creepy. All you need to buy is a nurse costume and check out the tutorial for your bandage mask below.

            3. La Llorona– she is a folklore legend in Latin culture said to have drowned her children and forever remain roaming the land crying for her children. To create a costume inspired by la llorona, you will need dark clothes, like a long black dress and poncho and face paint. Below is an outfit idea, as well as a tutorial to create a llorona look.

            4. Porcelain dollfor some reason, some people find dolls utterly scary. I’m not sure if it’s their stare, or the way many are made to look so realistic that creeps people out; but either way this is yet another super easy costume to replicate.             5. Clown– yes, this is a costume that has been around forever, but the great thing about creating your own costume is you can turn an old idea into an original and creepy look. Below are a couple videos to check out, depending on what kind of clown-look you are going for- all are definitely on the scary side.

            Not everyone wants to spend $50+ on a costume that will most likely only be worn once this Halloween. Making your own costume, whether it be by matching pieces and accessories together or sewing an actual outfit, can save you a lot of money. It will also allow you to wear stuff you purchased as a costume not just on Halloween.

            This costume is pretty simple to DIY. Check out the outfit I put together below to get an idea of how to put the look together. Rather than doing the cupcake bra, you can wear a cami and wear cupcake themed accessories. Your biggest purchase will most likely be a blue wig, or if you don’t mind dying your hair, you can also do a temporary hair dye or try doing a kool-aid hair dye!             Peace and love! This costume is pretty easy to do-it-yourself and you might already own a paisley top, or fringed vest. Complete the costume with sleek-straight hair, or do the classic Farrah Fawcett hairstyle by following the YouTube tutorial below.

            Let your inner villain out this Halloween by wrapping yourself up in a Cruella inspired look. Her attire consisted of a classic black dress, fur coat and boots/heels. My Cruella De Vil outfit below looks as though it would be a modern look for her. Those Louboutin booties look as though they were made with her in mind! Besides the fact the coat is faux-fur, I’m pretty sure Cruella would have loved the rest.

            If you like Disney princesses and are considering dressing up as one for Halloween this year, check out a few costumes and outfit ideas below. A few of them have updated looks with shorter hems but longer versions are available if you click on the images.
