5 Tried and loved liquid eyeliners

Eyeliner has been the one and only piece of makeup I always wear. Ever since i learned to apply it, it has been a daily makeup ritual. I love the way it outlines my eyes, and in a way adds more dimesion and depth to my green peepers. We recently went on vacation, and i forgot my liner 馃檨 Of course we had to make a pit stop to buy a new one, because I just couldn’t go three days with no liner!

There are a few variations of liner including, gel, pencil and liquid. I prefer pencil for the bottom lid, and liquid on top. Gel is a great alternative, since it applies so smooth and most are smudge proof. I still prefer liquid, probaly because i learned with liquid, and personally it’s quicker and more precise when applying. WHich do you prefer: liquid, gel or pencil?!?

Check out a few liquid liners I have tried and found to be the best!

This Almay liner can easily be found at your local drugstore, and won’t hurt your wallet. Applying it daily, it lasted me about four to five months. The application tip was a good size to draw both thin and thicker lines.

This liner is another drugstore purchase, but does an excellent job. It comes in different shades, but they are not overly intense once applied. The applicator is easy to use and also great for both thin or thick lines.

Mac’s liner is a bit more pricey, but i love how intense the black shade comes out. The application tip is similar to the other ones, which makes it great for drawing lines. It lasts all day, and didn’t smudge per my eperience.

Lancome’s artliner was designed to be a super simple pen liner. I like this liner because it applies just like a marker. The application tip is made of foam and soaks up the liner for easy application. I’ve used similar pen liners, and haven’t been happy with them due to the color not applying as well or intense because of the sponge tip. Lancome’s puts the rest pen liquid liners to shame!

Just imagine how pretty your eyes would look lined in that color?! Mac’s liquidlast liner is one of my favorites, simply because of the colors. They line just as intense as the color looks in the bottle. Application-wise, the tip is a bit tough if you are a beginner but can easily be mastered. Most liners have a pencil-like or pointed applicator, but this one has a little thin brush. This liner does not smear, and is super long-lasting. Plus, the teal looks lovely drawn over a black line and finished off with lots of mascara!

How to get smokey eyes

Achieve sultry smokey eyes by following these simple steps!

1. Start with a clean face.
Wash ,dry, and apply moisturizer using circular motions on 聽your face.

2. Apply primer over entire eyelid
Use an eyeshadow primer over your entire eyelid to prevent color fading and creases.

3. Apply base eyeshadow.
Using a shader brush apply ricepaper shadow from the tear duct of your eye up and across below your eyebrow, and over your eyelid. With small circular motions sweep a blending brush over the shadow 聽to blend the color. 聽Use white frost shadow around the tear duct and just below your lower lash line.

4. Use a charcoal shadow 聽for a classic look or add purple/ blue shadows for a colorful smokey eye.
Using an angled brush apply black shadow from the outer corner of your eye and up on the crease just below your brow bone. use a blending brush to soften up the look by going over the black shadow in small circular sweeps. Keep using 聽the blending brush to apply more shadow and blend until you are satisfied with the intensity. Grab white frost shadow using a shader 聽brush and sweep it from your tear duct and across your eyelid.
5. Rim eyes with liner and apply mascara.
Using an eyeliner brush apply fluidline in blacktrack ( if you need help applying liner, refer to this previous post:How to apply liquid eyeliner ) from the inner corner of your eye all the way聽across. Carefully line your lower lash line聽ensuring聽not to poke or get product in your eye. Apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes, curl them and apply falsies for a more dramatic effect.
